    Frequently asked questions

The first day we will introduce ourselves.  We will ask our new student what it is they would like to learn from the class and what do they like about art. Go over basic information regarding the class.  If you are a beginner, we will explain the art supplies and materials to you. We work one on one with each individual student and explain the assignment to the class. We make sure to answer any questions and to provide students with the proper information needed to succeed.   We check on them periodically to provide any suggestions and to make sure they are alright.  We also provide demonstrations to the class and to individual students.  We encourage, instruct, praise, guide, mentor and inspire all our students.

One of our students entered an art piece in the Texas Rodeo competition and it is now being considered for the exhibition or the auction.  One of our alumni students received notice that two of his pieces were selected in an annual competition for the third year in a row. We are so proud of them.

Look for someone with experience as an artist.  Someone who really cares about their students and wants the absolute best for them.  Look for an art teacher who wants to help them accomplish their goals and who really wants the best for their student.  A teacher who will listen to what they have to say, mentor them, inspire, and encourage them to do their best.

Look for a teacher like me who will work with you as a team to help reach the goals set to accomplish.  A teacher that will make sure your child has every opportunity to learn, explore, create, and enjoy art.

What are my goals for this class?

    What are my strengths?

What are some areas that need improvement?

What do I need to do to accomplish my goals for this class?

Then ask your teacher the same questions?  See if the answers are the same.  If they are not the same talk about it and the two of you make a plan to accomplish those goalws together.
