About
I have been in the art industry for about 17 years, and I have worked on many published storybooks as an author or illustrator, or both, and on digital online media projects abroad.
While I have been giving various art workshops for the last six years, I found that best results show with customized plans for each student!
I customize courses for my students to meet their preferred methods of learning, and their expectations, so they get to focus on essential skills necessary to advance their artistic skills in timely manner.
This experience does not end at this point; I require follow-ups, and occasional homework and assignments . I am accessible outside the class too.
Finally, learning is a two-way interaction between the teacher and the student that requires passion and smart work. That's all I need from my students to show as I offer them fun, practical learning, and real-time results.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
All my customized courses include introductory classes on the essentials needed for the course no matter what level of experience of the students.
My approach of teaching is not just teaching to draw step by step, but teaching how to think, see, and practice art like an artist to start off as an independent artist equipped with the tools and skills needed to become a professional.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in Arts of Languages and am currently preparing for teaching certification for elementary schools. I am a professional art teacher in art school in Katy, and I have been in the cartooning industry for more than 15 years. I worked as a caricature artist in the early years of my career, designed characters for local videogames overseas and educational projects for children's centers and kindergartens. I have also been a comics and storybook artist for the last 10 years now and the count is still going.

How did you get started teaching?
I started giving courses for children's storybook illustrations more than 6 years ago and expanded my objectives on demand.
Simply because I believe I have a unique way of simplifying information, and because I wish I had the chance I'm offering today, offered to me when I was starting up a long time ago.
Now I teach at art school in Katy, and I give private art classes. What types of students have you worked with?
Children and adults from 6+ to adulthood.
beginners and intermediate levels.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
"Special Saturday Friends". a charity program teaching art to people of special needs, and helping them sell their creations to gain profit. A very inspiring project that I felt honored as I am a recent participant in this project.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A teacher needs to be interactive with their potential students, a good listener, and have a crystal clear approach in presenting themselves.
Extra tip: a simple made is the best made, complicated teaching approaches will only make things harder. look for simple, and talk to the teacher and ask them questions to get a clear picture of what you are enrolling into.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
-What do I want to learn?
-How familiar am I with what I want to learn?
-What do I expect from this course?
-How open am I toward new methods?
-How open am I toward trying different art areas?
