Power flow yoga to strengthen mind and body. I have my RYT 200 training, but I continue to seek out knowledge through workshops as well as taking classes so I can improve my teaching and maximize benefits for students.
I am passionate about yoga - not just to strengthen and stretch, but for the many other benefits it has, especially teaching you to control your mind and your breath. Yoga is about finding a state of equinimity on and off of your mat.
I love working with small groups or individuals.
I train in Jiu-Jitsu and also love running and interval training. I know how to make yoga useful and beneficial for you!!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically talk with the new student to determine their current level of fitness/activity. We discuss goals and expectations for their yoga experience. As I work with you, we can tailor the practice to meet your needs.

RYT 200 vinyasa flow from Awakened Yoga
Many years of experience in the fitness industry, esp. interval training and yoga.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught beginnners with little to no background in fitness, beginners to yoga who are in the martial arts, and seasoned yogis.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It doesn't hurt to meet more than one teacher. Yoga is a very personal experience and you want a teacher that you feel comfortable working with. Yoga is to help you grow physically and mentally. Please take the time to find a teacher who helps you feel grounded and secure.
