About
Hey, you can call me Mike. I was an excellent student in school and college with a 3.92/3.82 GPAs. Of all the environments I've taught in, my favorite is one-on-one. I love changing my style to fit the student. I've spent significant time in Spanish and German speaking countries and in the classroom, so my language skills go beyond the textbook. I spent two years in Central America, and I have college level Spanish qualifications. I did a semester of cultural, language, and university study abroad in Germany. After returning, I taught as an adjunct German I Professor at DSU. As for music, I've played music for 18 years and my Bachelor's Degree is in Music Education. I have perfect pitch, and I'm a whiz at music theory. I scored a 5 on the Music Theory AP Test and tested out of 2 years of Music Theory and Ear Training in college. My main instrument is trumpet. I can teach any band instrument up through High School level. Let's schedule an intro visit and see what a good fit we are.

Recently I helped a middle school student who was getting C's to achieve a 93% on his midterm Spanish exam.
A desperate High Schooler was feeling unprepared for her Music Theory exam and was missing some key conepts from the beginning of the year. After only a few sessions, she made up for the entire semester of being behind and performed confidently on her test.
An adult learner in a matter of a few weeks has gone from practically no knowledge of Spanish to having a 45 minute conversation with me in Spanish.
