About
I am passionate about teaching yoga to help students improve balance, flexibility and strength with a focus not just on the physical body but also the breath and the mind. A devoted yogi for more than a decade, I received my Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certification in 2016. I teach Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Spa, and Yoga with Weights or Straps to all levels and ages, both in my beautiful, private home studio, public studios and outdoors. I am a USA Yoga Federation competitor, Virginia champion, and Associate Board Member, responsible for outreach to Adult 50+ competitors.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We chat by phone or on Skype to discuss personal goals - both short and long term - as well as level of experience, physical constraints, and life style choices. From there, we determine the best path to create a successful yoga practice. This path may include classes, meditation, coaching and other support. The first consultation is free.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200). I hold certifications in Vinyasa, Yin, and Yoga with Weights.
I am also a USA Yoga Federation Adult 50+ Competitor and have trained and competed since 2016.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is tailored to the student's needs but is always affordable!
How did you get started teaching?
I am passionate about yoga and decided to get certified to share the benefits with others.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of ALL ages and all fitness levels - youth to senior.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently returned from the USA Yoga Federation Nationals Competition at the State Games in Grand Rapids, MI. It was an inspiring event with beautiful routines by yogis of all ages - youth to senior.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher that is the best fit for you. So much depends on having a good student-teacher relationship where you can focus on what you can do, not what you cannot do. A good teacher will help guide you there. Yoga is for every body.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should consider the why. Do you want to do yoga to improve your health, stay fit, calm your mind, reduce stress? It might be any or all of these things, as a yoga practice is very personal.
