Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I believe each person. Unique on your goals, ability, body type and state of mind. So first of all I like to know better a new student. The first class I actually don’t charge because I intend to define goals, schedules, evaluate the fitness level and weakness of this student. From all this knowledge, I build personalized classes for each student and even a meal plan if the student desires. Because each person is unique, each class is also unique.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m 200 YTT but I believe yoga and a healthy life style is a constant learning. I’m always studying on topics a feel people need most such as healing and
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard price is a package of 4 classes for 80$ in which the student come into my personal studio in Stafford VA. Price can be discussed depending on how many classes a week or goals of each student . For example, a student who wants to loose weight and workout 3 times a week, we can build a package of 180$/ month.
What types of students have you worked with?
Students between ages 20-80 years old. Most of them reach me to improve their fitness level and stretching skills.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
First of all,I know how difficult it is to find a good instructor that meet our expectations. I’ve been there! So if you try someone and you feel like yoga or Pilates or cycling is not for you, contact me! Sometimes it’s not that the instructor is bad but you both didn’t connect to each other. I believe the instructor should not only help you achieving your goals but also coaching and motivating you to keep up with your work. The best instructors, in my opinion, become your frinends because they do care about you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Some questions I usually do:
- what are your goals specifically. Is that improve flexibility, tone muscles, improve fitness level?
- what am I willing to do associated to my workout to achieve my goals? Would I be able to manage my daily menu or workout by myself ?
-do I need motivation and coaching or only classes would help me achieving my goals?
- which type of instructor I want? Someone that is close to my age and body type or someone younger? Someone that will be more traditional or that would bring new techniques to the class?
Once you you have all these answers it’s way easier to find the best instructor for you!
