I follow the student and their learning process. I chose the books used for lessons based on the individual not based on what makes me more comfortable. I help students meet their goals and encourage them to practice based on what that are looking for. I ask them to do and try their best with not added pressure.
I enjoy meeting not only my students, but their familes as well. Working as a team makes it a more successful journey.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically assess the students cognative level, learning process, understanding of instruction, etc and factors of age and experience. From there, I develop a plan on which book(s) to start with and how best to get the most out of each lesson for that particular students. Each students gets their own style. No cookie cutter lessons!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
20 + years of teaching piano along with 20+ years teaching Kindermusik and music lessons/classes for ages infant through adult in preschoolers, private schools, and homeschool co-ops. Graduted with a B.A in Music from Rowan University.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
All lessons start out at $28 per 30 minute lesson. If a student becomes more advance, a 45 minute lesson will be offered and pricing will be discussed.
