About

Rita Busse Gulliksen, NCTM is a nationally certified teacher of music. She teaches private piano lessons in her home in the Stratford Hills area of Richmond, Virginia. The curriculum is classical music. The studio is 1/4 mile from the Forest Hill Avenue exit of Powhite Parkway, and is easily accessible from all areas of Richmond.

More and more studies show the advantages of music study. Playing music engages the brain more than other activities and promotes listening skills. I believe that music should be a part of everyone’s education. Even if someone does not wish to be a performer, one can become a knowledgeable listener. Music is a beautiful art form that feeds the soul. It is a lifelong emotional outlet. My goal for students is to develop good playing skills and an appreciation for music.
