About
Bellingham Music provides private lessons in piano, strings, woodwinds, brass, guitar, bass, ukulele, mandolin and voice. Most of our instructors take a traditional approach of instruction to promote good technique and reading ability. We always make efforts to individualize each lesson plan to accommodate a student's learning style as well as their musical goals.
We also provide opportunities to play in our ensembles, performances, recitals and more.
All of our instructors love to teach and play music. Between our thirteen instructors we have experience in local and regional bands, symphony orchestras, recording projects and more.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Most of our new students take advantage of a meeting with their prospective instructor to make sure they're a good fit. The relationship between the instructor, student and their families is very important for success so we take the time to figure that out up front. There is no charge for this consultation.
Each student is unique. We determine their goals and learning styles and put together a plan and learning materials that makes sense for them.
