Introductory lessons consist of an evaluation based on execution and knowledge of basic open chords, any scales the student might know, and an honest assessment of how often the student can or is willing to practice outside of lessons.
A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:
A typical lesson will begin with a review of the "homework" from the previous lesson to assess mastery of the concepts. If additional work is needed, that will be addressed. Based on the student's goals, the remainder will be spent on learning new scales, songs, or chords.
