Artvana is the best way to stick to your goals of becoming more creative and learning to paint! By combining lessons with a thriving coaching community I am able to keep you practicing your creativity, growing your skills, sharing your success and you will get all the support you need along the way. I will get to see your progress each month and we will have a live coaching session each month (optional) to discuss your creative ups and downs or any struggles you had during the lesson.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I love working with people of all skill levels in the paint club. The club is designed to get you started, basic techniques, instructions, color mixing and the like. Even more importantly the club will keep you creating, practicing and improving each month! It's like yoga for art!
I send all supplies to you each month as well as the tutorial, then once a month we meet live on Zoom to discuss successes and challenges you had in practice. Each month has a coaching focus to help you continually improve your creative confidence, diminish negative self talk, tap into creative freedom and feel supported in your art journey. I would love for you to join our club!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified therapeutic art coach and professional painter.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I only offer lessons like this through the paint club membership. Membership is all inclusive and includes your art supplies, worksheets, any brushes or additional items for the project, lifetime access to the recorded tutorial and the live coaching session with me once a month. Our membership is $45 per month.
How did you get started teaching?
I have personally been involved in painting for the last fourteen years. I took to canvas painting and never looked back, when the opportunity came for me to be able to share my love for art and painting with others i started down a new path and have been helping people grow their creative confidence and enjoy the process of creating for 8 years now.
What types of students have you worked with?
My youngest painter has been 10 months old and my oldest painter has been 93. Everything in between! I have come to realize that most people don't know when creativity will get ahold of them unless they give it a try. Everyone has creativity inside of them, once they accept that it is easier to help them manifest it.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my favorite and challenging recurring events is my scheduled classes at REVEL community in Lacey WA. This is a 55+ community and I meet so many different types of personalities and residents here. It is challenging for me to bring them new an unique events each time and to also cultivate creativity alongside some of the physical limitations they have. It is well worth it every time to see them surprise themselves and how much joy they get from creating their artwork and projects!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The first step in being more creative or learning a new skill is to start. You have to start where you are and I endeavor to meet you there. I truly want to help you uncover your creativity, feel more comfortable in your skills and keep you practicing what you learn so you continue to grow.
