Puyallup Piano Studio
About
After playing piano for 30 years and teaching for over a decade, I have expert-level knowledge of what methods work-- and what doesn't!! My goal is to help each of my students learn what excites them, and also what will help them attain their goals for the piano. My job as your teacher is to help identify and remove any obstacles in the way of your progress toward those goals. Whether it’s in your head, or a simple fix with your technique, each week during your piano lesson, we’ll work together to improve your musicianship.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin a teaching relationship making sure that every student has received a proper foundation of musical knowledge. Once this is in place, piano lessons will include correct hand position and fingering, rhythm, harmony, sight-reading, musical structure, ear training, composition, other theory, and most importantly PLAYING great music and having a good time! My program offers a variety of different techniques from ear training, to music appreciation, to chord technique and technical security. I want you to be a great overall musician and when you play in my studio I will ensure that we see (and hear!) measurable progress with EVERY piano lesson!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
30 years of piano Study, 15 years of professional performance, and 10 years of teaching.
