What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new fitness student, I will bring the student in for a fitness assessment. In this assessment we will go over fitness goals of the student. We then will proceed to go through a series of test to establish the students current fitness level. The test will consist of flexibility, strength and cardiovascular capacity. After testing we then will come up with a program suited for the student based on goals and current fitness level.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a bachelors degree from Lincoln University. And have been a fitness coach/pro for 10 years.
How did you get started teaching?
I started training in 2011 while in college where I played collegiate football.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with professional/collegiate design highschool athletes,and I've trained young/older working professionals.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Hire a coach that is a resource to you and has the passion and desire to see you win.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Am I mentally and emotionally ready to embark on this journey?
