I am a professional actor/musician with plenty of experience in both fields. I love meeting and teaching new people, and I consider them friends that I can share my knowledge and experience with. I know that there are plenty of folks in the business whose interest in making money and fooling students into paying high prices are more important than getting results. That's not me. I want you to succeed in a competitive business, and I will do everything I can to help you do that.
I like dealing with people one on one, and while I'm teaching a student, I'm learning, too! That's the best part.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I let a student in on what I've learned while working as an actor/musician, I ask them about their experience working in the field that they want to succeed in, and I encourage them to trust their own instincts and not to fear failure. Performers have to be fearless these days: A lot of folks can create videos and music on their own but must learn to present their work in a professional way: If they can't do that, they won't be trusted by the agents and producers that they contact.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Drama from New York University and I have had many years of on-stage and on-camera experience here in the Seattle area.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge by the hour for lessons: My current rate is $60.00 per hour, but I can tailor that to the needs and schedules of students.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching at a summer camp in upstate New York: I taught acting and speech classes there. I have directed theatre productions and choreographed for the stage, as well.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with children age 10 through 15, as well as actors or all ages.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I like participating in a film shoot: it's the best way to network with other actors and get tips on finding work in a competitive field like acting. Every shoot is an event: I am required to be responsible, energetic, and alert, and it's great fun to express what's inside me.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I'm honest, and I'm not afraid to tell you the truth about what you can and can't achieve. I'll help you relax and trust yourself. I won't fool you, and I'll help you find ways to branch out and learn things that you're not familiar with.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should know just what they want to achieve and know that they have to commit themselves to spend the time and money necessary to get where they want to go with a career that will sustain them and help them make a living doing something that they love.
