Donald Broerman Guitar Lessons

My teaching approach: Donald Broerman is much more than a music teacher, he is dedicated to his studentâ€TMs progress as people. He believes that the critical thinking skills, dedication and patience that one develops by studying music are attributes that transcend the classroom; music helps instill, fore thought, integrity and the understanding of achievement, that students can apply to almost every aspect of life. Donald Broerman is currently pursuing his BM in Classical Guitar Performance at CCM under the direction of Clare Callahan. He also studied with David Case at the University of Oregon (School of music), as well as, Jazz guitar with Mike Denny and Chris Sorenson. Donald started his training at age 12 on Classical Guitar at the Musical Arts Center in Cincinnati. Aside from his scholastic endeavors, and on a littler note, his high-school rock band took 1st place (out of 80 acts) in the Bogartâ€TMs High-School Band Challenge. Thus, his depth in many styles and genres make him and outstanding and versatile teacher. All of which are necessary elements from the beginning. A guitar lesson with me might entail the following: The time will be split between technique, rudiments and musicianship, as well as, song writing, music theory and performance, depending on the students level.
