My teaching approach:

AFA in Music performance and AA in music Education. Student driven lessons focused on what I see my students weaker skills are using classical technique. Sheet music reading is an optional subject but HIGHLY recommended. I have taught students from 6 to 75 years old.

My guitar lessons take place in:

Schedule is changing with the lessons that fill up but very flexible times. Please ask and we'll be able to work something out.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:

Sight reading on TAB and sheet music, scale work, and have them play their favorite piece or song.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:

Tuning, spot check what we've done from the previous lesson, technique drill all this in 10 minutes. Then usually focus on what ever student's next goal is.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:

Self driven, inquisitive, open minded, with the ambition and understanding that they get out what they put in.
