I have 30 years of successful experience as a certified public school band director in the Chicago area. I have a masters degree in music as well. My bands have received first division and superior ratings throughout the Midwest, and I received a "Key Contributor" award from my school. Tambor Chicago is focused on promoting the proliferation of Afro-Cuban folkloric music to diverse audiences. We offer private studies, group classes, and full length performance showcasing Afro-Cuban drumming, song, and dance. Our lessons cover conga, bongo, bata, timbales, drum set, and more.
