I provide house-call lessons for guitar, bass, piano, drum or other instrument. I teach students of all ages and levels of experience. I teach individual lessons mainly but I like to play music with my students and if they have siblings or friends we can start a band! I enjoy sharing my knowledge of music with others and playing different instruments with my students and see them increase their knowledge and enjoyment of music.

Marc R. says, "I've been taking lessons with Aaron for over 2 years and I feel my playing and technique has greatly improved. I started out with a rudimentary understanding of music and music theory but now have a much better grasp of it. While I still have plenty of miles left to go on my musical journey, Aaron has set me up with good fundamentals and techniques. He's also a great jazz guitarist if you're looking for that too. My job for any student is to help cater to the student's individual goal while also making learning the cello as painless as possible. When I work with a student, I want the student to achieve the following concepts: 1. Setup. Cellists will have good posture and be able to make cello playing feel easy. 2. Tone. Every sound a cellist plays should come from a good sound. 3. Intonation/Music Reading. Every cellist has the ability to play in tune. In order to do that, they will become fluent in reading music. 4. Musicality. The fun part of music making is when they are able to express music with ideas. Cello playing is daunting and can seem impos...

Reviews for Orland Park music theory teachers

Recent success stories from people in the Orland Park area.
David H.
I contacted Aaron because of the description of topics of instruction he listed in his ad for lessons. They were exactly what I've been looking for. The main item I've been looking for is music theory. I don't want to just learn how to play a piece of music. I want to know how the song was created and why the chords progress the way they do. And Aaron is guiding me on my path step by step. So far he as the patience of a saint dealing with this late to the party student. And I plan to test his patience by continuing to ask my main questions for everything.......Who, What, When, Where & Why?
