Music has been an intrinsic part of my life from a young age. I was 9 or 10 years old when my mom and dad took me to hear the Philadelphia Orchestra. As one of six children, having an evening with my parents all to myself was a special and rare experience. Having a B.S. in music as well as a B.A. in special education allows me the ability to teach a variety of students with varying learning styles. I attended the University of Oregon School of Music on a clarinet performance scholarship and have taught special education behavior classrooms as well as music in the public school system. Currently I homeschool, teach private clarinet and piano lesson, and perform clarinet professionally around the Portland Metro area.
