My daughter (now at age 14) is currently continuing her studies with Ms. Koerkenmeier. During that time my daughter has progressed extensively. At age 12 my daughter relied heavily on her piano skills in auditioning for admittance at the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts. In that year (2011) there were a record number of applicants for a very limited number of places available. Roussy was accepted with a letter congratulating accepted students because of the stiff competition.
I have been very pleased with Roussy’s progress on piano while she has been with Ms. Koerkenmeier. I have number of friends that are concert pianists and I frequently attend performances of professional musicians. Some have played in my home and I play myself and listen to recordings constantly. I have attended the recitals of the students of Ms.Koerkenmeier over the period of time my daughter has studied with her and I have also observed that her other students have made great strides in playing skills.
