Welcome! My name is Drew Preston and I have 8 years of experience teaching violin, viola, cello, ukulele and beginning guitar. I hold a bachelor’s degree in music education and a violin performance certificate from UofSC. As an educator, I use my student’s strengths and interests to guide them on their musical journey. I believe that reading sheet music and playing by ear are equally important to one’s musical experience. I primarily teach classical music, but enjoy teaching pop, bluegrass and jazz music as well.

Jeff Purtle has given recitals in England, Wales, Scotland and the USA. He has spoken at the International Trumpet Guild Conference and hosted his own conferences. Jeff’s brass students are in all branches of the United States military, band directors from SC and other states, and students in the San Francisco Symphony, Charlotte NC Symphony, Greenville Symphony, Charleston Symphony, Augusta Symphony, Aiken Symphony, Jacksonville FL Symphony, and UK and Chinese orchestras.
