Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I'll send them a questionnaire so I can get a better understanding of what they need/want in a work out and I can improve their weaknesses from day 1!
I'll spend the first session putting the client through basic drills so I can assess their skills and customize their future workouts in order to maximize the efficiency of their workouts with me.
I can provide video highlights of the workouts for the player to enjoy and also they can see their own progress for themselves! I can provide other resources to help the player develop their general basketball IQ. I'm willing to work with their AAU and school coaches so I can help them "skill up" in a way that will directly effect how well they play for their teams!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Physical Education Degree
USA Gold Youth Basketball Development Certification
Worked with UAB Men's Basketball for one year
10+ years of Varsity Assistant Coaching Experience
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

How did you get started teaching?
I started in college. I always wanted to be a basketball coach and I started immediately after I graduated high school in a variety of roles. My high school coach mentored me and suggested I pursue a degree in education if I wanted to be a head coach some day. I took his advice to heart and I've steadily been improving in my career.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with kids from K-12. Per state rules I'm looking to help kids in 6th grade or younger so no one loses their eligibility to play for their school.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask lots of questions!
If your coach can't explain why you are doing something you probably need to ask yourself why you are working with them!
