What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to begin with a simple test of knowledge—mostly hands on drawing activities, just to see where a student lies of the spectrum. We often begin work learning the elements of art. I like to introduce art through practice. So, most things taught will be quick explanations, with a lot of hands on practice with each progressive step.
