Our sessions are 60 to 90 minutes in length, depending on the location.  

Our program is for all skill levels looking to learn the fundamentals of basketball to help them succeed at all levels.  Every new client has a initial evaluation, which is a hour long.  During the evaluation we will assess the athletes skill level and their ability to pick up new skill work.  Following the evaluation we will place them in groups of similar skill level within our program.

SKILLS COVERED IN CLASS:

1. Ball Handling - changing pace, downhill attacks, bringing the ball up against pressure

2.  Scoring - moving without the ball, finishing off the dribble and with contact, proper screen setting, finishing for undersized players, catch and shoot, finishing school, proper form for jump shot

3.  Defense  - fundamental techniques for on ball and off ball defender, proper defensive stance, proper slide and closeout techniques

4.  Decision Making - coming off of screens, fast breaks, press breaking, developing basketball IQ through game situations

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

At Next Level Sports Academy we are dedicated to caring for each athlete individually.  We pride ourselves on the quality of training provided to each athlete that enters our program.  Our program customizes each class to ensure that each athlete receives proper instruction and attention. It is our mission to create a fun, energetic and interactive learning environment. This allows the athletes to develop their basketball skills, improve confidence and inspire personal development.  

It is our priority that each athlete that enters our program learns the core values of work ethic, being respectful,  responsible,  a team player and the expectations of being a leader


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Former collegiate athlete graduated with a BS in Anatomy and Physiology.   Went on to earn my Masters of Science in Physical Therapy.   Upon completion of my PT degree went on to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  I have over 20 years of training and coaching experience, which in includes high school,  collegiate and the professional athlete.
