MGA Music Lessons

Hi! Working with me, you can get an interesting mix of experience and enthusiasm as I help you learn. Please note -ALL LESSONS ARE ON SKYPE unless you are near Mobile Alabama and can come to my house.

I have been a Professional Woodwind teacher (university and private lessons) for more than 45 years, and have sung in choirs and in jazz/rock groups for years. While bassoon was my first instrument, I have studied at the university level on all the woodwinds - sax, flute, oboe, bassoon and clarinet. On each of those, I have played in orchestras, chamber music and other ensembles - including jazz in small groups and big bands. I have a Doctorate in Bassoon Performance - and I'm also a composer of classical chamber music that has been played in North America and Europe. Other areas I teach include music theory, singing at sight (reading music), jazz improvisation and voice lessons. I love teaching. It gets me pumped up finding the right ways to help my students,
