After I had my artistic breakthrough I began to share with others how they too can use art to enhance their lives. The student can create beautiful art and de-stress simultaneously. I enjoy giving individuals the opportunity to explore art in a way that may be new to them. I enjoy seeing the light go on when the student get how powerful a few lines can mean to them.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by listening to what the student wants to get out of the lessons.
I ask laser focused questions.
We discuss their childhood experiences with art.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am self-taught. About 1 year after my brain aneurysm surgery I started drawing Zentangle images. This process opened the door to learn about the power of drawing the images. In the process i I discovered a mantra of Zentangle creators. There are no mistakes.
I began to desire to draw on my own without Zentangle. I was surprised to see what was coming out of me and flowing onto the paper. Then my butterfly story emerges.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching my younger sisters when I was a child. I began teaching Sunday School at age 16. Once I had children I prepared them for school. In the 1990's I started to coach people. I also taught women's classes at church. I have done workshops and keynote speaking in various cities across the USA. I share who I have learned with those who want to know.
