About
I teach a small drawing class of two to three adults, two hours per week from 3:30 to 4:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays for eight week increments. This class is already in session. The next class will begin again on July 5th 2022. I may add another class time on Monday and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 if there is enough interest.
The charge is $480 for eight weeks.
I will not be teaching private lessons any longer. But with small class sizes, individual instruction is not lacking.

Creating art opens up our minds to exploring the world around us. You'll get a look at art history and how it has shaped our world today. You'll look at color, shapes and textures in a new light. And light, you will see light in ways you will have never thought possible.
Fine art has been my passion since childhood; drawing, architectural drawing, perspective drawing, ink and pen, and eventually painting. Although I have always drawn, my passion for painting was inspired by a theater tech class I took in college for backdrop painting.
Art history and sculpture were also a part of my growing experiences and are passions that have tagged along with my art. In fact, art history informs my art in so many ways.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Initially we meet to discuss the students interest in art. Where they see themselves in art. What kind of art is interesting to the student. How they would like to see their art. Once we establish a guideline to begin we will do a couple of quick drawings to see where the students level is at.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a working artist with several finished and installed private commissions. I am a graduate of ASU in Art Studies with a focus on painting. My training has been in painting, figure painting, drawing, life drawing, sculpture, ink and pen, and various mixed media paintings. However, I am not a watercolorist.
Currently I am an MFA student in Fine Art with my concentration in Drawing and Painting.
