What is your typical process for working with a new student?
To communicate with the player before we meet to understand what their goals and expectations are. I explain why and how I each and see if we are a fit to move forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Completed and graduated from MLB Scout School in 2005 have played at multiple levels of baseball, and have been evlauting talent in the MLB for over 17 yeras.
I have worked baseball camps and evaluations for over 30 years. Futhermore, I am on numerous committees for baseball instruction & a member of ABCA. I attend the national convention each January for continued education on instruction, technology & networking with collegues to assist my players with recruitment.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
There is different pricing based off a players goals, needs, circumstances. The goal of the intro phone call is to understand what would be a good fit for the player.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching private instruction after being a head baseball coach at 2 different high schools. I have been coaching college the last 11 years along with daily scouting for both the Professional and College organizations.
What types of students have you worked with?
The most value brough is to 8th graders to big leaguers. The younger they are, the more advanced and mature the player must be in order for the guidance to have full affect.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Trust and comfortbility are crucual in building a good relationship. Finding someone the player feels comfortable with is crucial to make the relationships a success.
