Mar-Tune Music Lessons is a part of Mar-Tune Music who has been licensing songs for television and film for over 30 years. It's my love for teaching that I'm able to pass the knowledge and experience to all my students. Many of my students achieve their goals and ignites their passion for music. I am a Berklee College of Music graduate with Emmy nominations and awards from working in the Film Industry. I teach guitar, music theory, piano & songwriting etc.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually sit with them to discuss what their goals are and what do they want to accomplish as a guitar player before we play one note. Then I have them play somtething they are comfortable with then I analyze how advanced they are on their instrument and go from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Music Education Degree from Berklee College of Music.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching while I was in High School at our local music store in Trenton,N.J.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages of students. Singer/Songwriter Jamie Beeman was a
student of mine for over 6 years
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had the pleasure playing Rhythm guitar with the Jamie Beeman band at The House of Blues in Anaheim,California. Having two members of the band WAR play on stage with me.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be a sponge. Listen to a much music you can. Practice is the only way you will get better as a musician.
