KL Design Studio is a professional fine art and graphic design studio. Since 1990 Kent has participated in the local arts community and recieved awards for our designs and commissions. Creative design contracts include the State of Arizona, The Small Business Administration, Washington, and The Phoenix Chamber of Commerce.
Kent is a native Arizonan and graduate with Bachelors Degree from the Art Center College in Pasadena, California.
Kent has experience in education providing workshops for 4th and 5th grade classes for the Chandler School District and also private tutoring in abstract painting as well as watercolor media. Kent's approach is to provide a calm and discovery experience on your art journey, no matter what level of experience. Low or no pressure plus positive, constructive creative direction.
Kent has been active with corporate, non profit and private art commissions for Landcapes, Botanicals and Still Life Artwork in watercolor and painting on canvas. Kent has also been included in gallery shows at The Vision Gallery, Chandler, The Los Angeles Art Festival, and the Schoolhouse Festival, in Claremont, CA.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Discover the student's interest in the arts, including short term and long term goals. Get a clear understanding of their skill level and life experience to help cultivate their passion and natural talents. My goal is to share my skill, techniques and studio practice to enhance the students discovery into art. I will also provide resources/links at appropriate intervals of the training.

Bachelors of Arts in Design and Illustration, Art Center College, Los Angeles, California. Trained Portrait Artist, Rubio Company, Disneyland, Anaheim, California.
Past member/provider of ASU internship program in their Arts & Marketing majors. 5 Student Interns - Designarts Studio.
