I am a self-taught artist with over 25 years of experince. I do my job, for the love of it and not just as a profession. My job shows the passion that I have for art and my keen interest in sharing that with people around me. Since I plan and create the art that I share with students, I know first-hand how to bring about the end result that I present. I have experimented with the mediums myself and that shows in my work. The opportunity to think outside the box as well as create is what I like to instill in all the participants so they can take what they are introduced to in class and build on it. Creativity as a process to cultivate and nurture is imbibed.

I enjoy the process from start to finish. From coming up with a lesson plan to making it a project, from meeting my co-artist to working with them, from reaching out to the inner creators in us to admiring the creation together, everything about the work is a 'JOY'. I enjoy every baby step of the way.
Years of practice and experience, art has been part of my life almost since I was ten years old. Been teaching art for twenty years now, I'm blessed to be able to share this gift with others. Check out more about my works at spiceupaz.com.

Swarna is very friendly and professional. She focuses on creating meaningful experiences for her students through creativity. She is so passionate about teaching art to students. So that they learn how to put those observations in a work of art. Swarna strives to have students that produce wide range of artistic techniques in each class that is unique. My daughter enjoys art with her.
Generally on receiving a request, I would prefer to talk to the participant to get a better understanding of the level of experience and expectation. Then, based on the availabilty of both the parties, the classes can start immediately.
My educational background is science and engineering. But my passion is arts. As the cohort of Creative aging program, by the Arizona Commission on the arts, I have been blessed to work with assisted living residents, dementia and alzheimer's impacted folks and their caregivers.
