About
It's my greatest pleasure to inspire people to see their own creative potential. I truly believe ALL were created by THE creator to be CREATIVE! I can't wait to prove it to you.
I've been teaching online through live video on YouTube since January 2013. I explore every medium I can get my hands and most of them I revisit over and over again.
I'm prolific in mixed media art, particularly collage art, watercolors and acrylics. I really enjoy impressionism over realism but it doesn't mean I won't paint a realistic image, I just don't always prefer it.
My first and best form of art is drawing. There is nothing better than taking a pencil and paper and creating with lines and shapes. I believe EVERYONE has the ability to draw, you just need the tips and time to practice. I promise!!
My favorite art pieces are the ones where I discovered something new about the products I use, the process, myself or all of the above!
If I was given all the time in the world to do whatever I want...I'd gelli plate papers and collage them into animals and flowers forever!!!! Oh who am I kidding? I'd just paint flowers, I'd always paint flowers!!!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
To begin, it's best to know what you want to learn. Are you looking to explore products such as how watercolors differ from acrylics? Or are you looking to explore realism over impressionism? Do you want to learn drawing basics or more complex art such as collage and mixed media? Are you a beginner who has maybe never even held a paint brush or were you born with the brush in your hand?
Once we've discussed your level of interest and have a direction you want to head in, I'll be happy to be right next to you and guide you along the path.
Art should be an adventure and we should enjoy the journey together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started as an art teacher for gradeschool, junior and senior high students in our area in 2010. I also ran an after school program for 5-12 year olds teaching hands on arts and crafts with Art History thrown in.
I've been livestreaming my art demonstrations in many mediums since January 2013. I am a self taught artist specializing in Mixed Media, Watercolors, Acrylics, Pastels and Collage Art. I have taken many courses over the years always trying to improve my style and abilities. I believe I bring something unique to the classroom as a student and as a teacher, I am willing to listen and learn right along with you.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
A single lesson is $25 per hour. This does not include travelling to the student or provided supplies.
I offer discounts for committing to more than one class, more time, more people.
I do not want cost to be prohibitive to the creative journey so please keep in mind, everything is negotiable!
How did you get started teaching?
One day a friend of mine noticed some of the art I had been doing and asked if I could help her son who was interested in art. The next thing I know, I have two classes each week, one for gradeschool aged kids and then other for Junior and Senior highschoolers. We had a blast and we did an Art Gallery showing at the end of the school year and invited the parents to come and browse the art exhibits. It was so exciting to see the students brag on their work and discoveries that I had to do it again. The most exhilirating moment is when a student realizes they had fun doing something they are proud of.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with kids aged 5-18 and adults of all ages and abilities as well
I believe everyone was created to be creative so I would never stand in the way of your creativity.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My livestreams are a favorite activity! The interaction of the audience is so much fun and what is better than playing with art supplies while you chat with friends?
I had the privledge of doing a show live in persona nd online in May of 2018. We called it an Art Koncert. Just like a music concert but with art as the entertainment instead of a music band. It was by far the most fun I have ever had...and I hope to be able to do more and more someday soon.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the teacher is willing to have fun and laugh. Perfection is over rated.
Decide what kind of art you want to create. Fun loving, whimsical, imprssionistic, or realism? It matters which teacher you choose because although you may learn some amazing art skills aiming for realism, you may also find yourself frustrated with the perfectionism of it.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What type of art do you love to do?
What kind of supplies do you provide, or recommend I get before we begin?
Will there be homework assignments?
Are you available for questions between classes, if I am stuck?
