About

Star Canyon School of Nursing, founded in 2007 and based in Phoenix, AZ, trains nursing assistants for CNA/LNA roles in Arizona. The program offers day classes (Monday–Thursday, 9 AM–1 PM) and evening classes (Monday–Thursday, 5 PM–9 PM), weekend-only clinical rotations, and extensive open lab hours, with practice available six days a week. CPR and First Aid classes are available by appointment.

Instruction emphasizes hands-on skills, safe body mechanics, high-risk transfers, and preserving patient privacy and dignity. Graduates have historically achieved above-average pass rates on their board exams. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent training), be able to communicate clearly, and be physically able to perform direct patient care tasks; applicants must also have no felony convictions within the past three years, with limited exceptions.

Star Canyon School of Nursing provides personalized instruction, frequent lab access, monthly start dates, and several payment plans that typically require a $300 initial installment. Job placement assistance and campus tours are available.

Founded by Michael Ayodele, Ed.D., and Regina Ayodele, RN, the school was established with a Christian mission to strengthen basic patient care training in the Valley and maintains a focus on diversity and ethical practice.
