I love to see everyone's different style to create their own masterpiece.
My favorite is to see a student walk away with the satisfaction that they have learned a skill or a talent that helps them feel better about themselves.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Beginners in painting will bring in a photo of the subject they wish to replicate or like.
I will begin with tools and supplies and care instructions.
Then I will teach them how to paint.
Beginners in drawing will bring in drawing supplies.
I will begin with tools and supplies and care instructions.
We will start with basic drawing mechanics.Thi s shows me the knowledge or the experience a student may have.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors in Fine Arts.
I have 30+ years experience in Illustration and Design in several Mediums.
30+ years as a professional artist.
10+ years as a published illustrator, cartographer and author.
10+ years as an illustrator and draftsman.
5+ years as a structual designer on CAD
I have 40 years of experience in working with the mentally and physically disabled and challenged.
I am a certified educator for the state of Arizona.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Ages 5 years and up. Children at the ages 5 years to 10 years must have a responsible adult with them at all times.
Children and adult classes are seperate.
Adult private lessons: $50.00 for 2 hours
Children private lessons: $25.00 for 1 hour
Adult group lessons: $25.00 for 2 hours
Children group lessons: $15.00 for 1 hour
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching for Grumbacher Art supplies who taught through Michael's Arts and Craft stores.
I have been teaching art through people just asking me to teach to them off and on for years.
