We pride ourselves in an instructor to artist ratio of a 1 to 1 ratio in private sessions and a ratio of 1 instructor for a maximum of 5 artists in group sessions. Each session is a maximum of 3 hours long. An artist can use as much of the 3 hours as they like but the price is 25.00 dollars per hour for private sessions and 20.00 dollars per session for group sessions.
My passion is for each artist to reach their maximum potential within the shortest time frame. However, how fast an artist progresses is entirely up to their beginning experience and how much time they are willing to invest.
I have been teaching drawing and painting for 15 years. My education has been via studing with various international artists such as Charles Groupe' in Europe and Dan Thompson, Robert Liberace, Bill Lundquist in the United States. Thompson and Liberace are rated as Modern Day Masters by the Art Renewal Center of the United States.
Our website is very minimal to keep costs down for the artists. It is apairofartists.com. Artist can register on the website, but I prefer to talk to them via the phone to get a minimal idea as to what they want and how much time they can spend working at home.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin with a student review of what their experience has been. From that review I will review what goals they have and what expectations they have.
If their goals and expectations are realistic I will taylor a plan outlining how we will proceed along the journey, if the progress varies from the plan I will explain why certain adjustments will need to be made.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied abroad with Charles Groupe, who is a Harvard educated artist but travels throughout Europe. I have studied with Charles in Italy twice, once in Greece and once in Monaco.
I have studied with Robert Liberace twice and with Dan Thompson once. Both artists are from the East Coast, and both are rated as Modern Day Masters by the Art Renewal Center. I have studied locally several times with Bill Lundquist at the Scottsdale Artist School.
I teach in all facets of drawing, including figure drawing and anatomy. I limit my painting classes to oil and acrylic painting.
I have 13 years of experience as a professional artist doing commisioned paintings both in landscapes and figures. I have been teaching for 14 years.
