What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, get them comfortable with touching, handling the guitar. Often times new players are hesitant to really feel the guitar out. Another good way to begin is to explain the instrument to them, how its laid out and why, a little bit of music theory/note progression comes into play here.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been playing guitar since 1985, very comfortable working with new players.
