About

I like to teach small groups of students at a time, (7- 10 students.) I can give Personal attention to each student with smaller classes, which provide time for understanding student ideas and what they hope to accomplish by taking the class. I offer years of knowledge and Experience to students, in a Hands-on Studio setting stating,"there is no right, or wrong way to accomplish your goals as a student and artist." In Classes I demonstrate Ceramic techniques and guide students thru projects with the understanding that each student works at their own pace, is free to use their own unique approach and incorporate their ideas into each piece they create. What I have Learned: Encouraging class members to share ideas and techniques helps to promote a positive and fun learning experience.

Working with Clay has been my Passion for over 22 years. I earned a degree in Fine Art from Arizona State University with a focus on Studio Art & Ceramics. I have taugh Ceramics in a Recreational setting and owned my own ceramic business, in Arizona for many years.

Through Personal experience and Education I have explored every aspect of working with Clay..,.. From painting green-ware, to wheel-throwing and hand-building. Glazing techniques, Surface decoration, Texturizing and Kiln Firing. All being necessary components helping students to achieve their goals. It gives me a great deal of satisfaction to be able to Help & share my creativity and experience with others believing that Artistic Expression contributes to the quality of life.
