Fine Art degree in drawing and painting, a past art therapy studio employee. You will find me compassionate as well as an encouraging as a teacher.

I totally understand if you think you can not draw or paint... And I love when you find you can!! I know you will improve and I find that so exciting and satisfying.

I am putting together adult classes in Mesa, 2023- 2024. If you are an adult interested in a class please state that in your request for a quote. I have plans for less than 10 adults per class at $20 per hour and a half class. Classes include Drawing and Watercolor for beginners and intermediates.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

learn where you are at, encouraging and supporting new students and more advanced alike. Teaching exercises to advance technical skills.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelor of Fine Art degree, in drawing and painting from the University of Arizona. I also have a Bachelor of Arts, in art therapy.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$20 an hour and a half.

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching art as part of my practice of art as therapy. I moved here to Arizona to get a masters in art therapy, but just as I arrived that program folded. The next plan was to get a BFA, in drawing and painting. I did that hoping to teach the techniques that I learned there at the U of Arizona. I taught kids, then adults; and now, mostly adults.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with many populations of people from young to old, healthy to health challenged. I enjoy them, all. I love people wanting to learning art.
