About this pro

I love shooting Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Events and Portraits since I have an opportunity to get to be with different types of people, families and couples! My clients will often say they feel really comfortable with me, and by the end of a shoot or weekend we are usually hugging! My specialty is capturing candid, natural moments of people. I am proud to say that most of my jobs come from happy referrals. When I work with people, I will only gently suggest poses, because my goal is to bring out the best of you and your relationships.  I don't want everyone to look the same, I really want to find the unique, special, moments with each person/couple or family.  I also spend many hours after an event, hand editing every photo with artistic touches, so they will look their best. I am compulsive about that.  My work is artistic, but I am a practical person who works super hard to get the best results and I have high energy and can't help giving a tremendous amount of myself.

The invaluable training and mentoring that I received was the most important part and her kindness and generosity was most appreciated.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I would ask what they are interested in learning and find out more about their current skills and equipment.

We would work with their camera and make sure they understand how to best use their equipment.

We could practice both outside and inside in different lighting conditions.

We would then upload their photos and see where they could improve.

I would also teach them how to edit and improve their images with color, light, cropping and focus on Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have taken many years of classes at the International School of Photography in NYC and trained other beginner photographers to better enhance their skills.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$60 for a 1 hour lesson

$100 for a 2 hour lesson

How did you get started teaching?

I keep meeting beginner photographers who want to learn to better photographers.

What types of students have you worked with?

Mostly women in their 30's to 40's.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I love shooting parties and getting great candid moments and then hearing they are so happy with the special moments they received. That gives me great pleasure.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I would suggest they make sure they like the teachers work and that they feel comfortable working with them.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

To understand what they want to learn, and if they feel they can learn from this teacher.
