What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Teaching safety and making a customer confident with their firearms
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an NRA certified instructor and have been training for over 20 years as a student and instructor.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standing pricing for private lessons is $150 per hour. Most classes are $150 per class. Beginner Pistol, intermediate Pistol 1&2, advanced pistol 1&2. Beginning rifle intermediate rifle 1&2, advanced rifle 1&2
CCW is $60 per class and includes fingerprints, application, and training
How did you get started teaching?
Hi started working with firearms instructors to learn to be an instructor early on and was a range safety officer for many classes throughout the years before I started instructing my own classes.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with every level of students from beginner to advanced.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that they are more concerned with safety than they are with how much money they can make.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why they would want to carry a gun? What type of gun are they interested in? What other types of training would they be interested in besides firearms?
