About

I have been competing in athletics at a high Level for my entire life and I want to pass on everything I have learned to the next group of kids looking to excel. I have competed in state championships for hockey, baseball and football and even went on to compete at the NCAA Level for baseball and hockey. Growing up in Alaska I also spent a massive portion of my time mastering the art of the back country so skiing and snowboarding are also areas of expertise for me. I am concluding a sports management degree at Arizona State that has also included numerous coaching and physical training curriculum. I am eager to work with your athlete on many different things but at the end of the day my main focus is developing the athlete first so success may come to them in many different forms!

I loved working with Tom! He assisted me with softball training and a bit of general training for a few knee problems I had been experiencing. He is very knowledgeable about a variety of sports and general fitness. He also made the experience very comfortable and I found him very easy to talk to and work with. Overall awesome experience! Would highly recommend and if I need training in the future I will be reaching out to him again.

Had a great experience working to improve my skills in both baseball and hockey. Tom was a very patient teacher and that is why I found myself being a returning customer. Would definitely recommend to all ages and skill levels. Tom is very knowledgeable.

Tom was very knowledgeable about the game and was able to improve my sons skating a ton through a focus on edge work and power skating techniques. I would recommend him to any level of a player. He will find ways to improve your kids game!

They did an excellent job catering to the skills I wanted to improve on. The prior experience they had working with high level athletes was really cool and it definitely made me trust in them more. Athletes First is a great way of describing the mindset they bring to the table! I was instructed on Ice Hockey and after working with them was able to secure a D1 scholarship and a spot on a NAHL team and even participated in the 5 nations tournament with team USA.

    Frequently asked questions

First I will ask to see some video of the student. If in person we will do a short evaluation to determine strengths and weaknesses. Also requests for certain training will be encouraged.

All of the training I offer is based on college level curriculum Or high level playing experience.

Depending on the site of training price may vary (ski, snowboarding, ice hockey)

The pricing base starts at $35 an hour (zoom) and $45 an hour for in person lessons

I have been involved in sports my entire life and began assisting as young as 12. Since then I have upwards of 1000 hours of coaching and volunteering experience with numerous groups and levels of athletes.

the highest level of students I work with are in the baseball/softball and hockey realms. I have coached multiple hockey players that went on to play in high level junior and college hockey (NHL, USA development team, USHL, BCHL, NAHL, NCAA D1 and D3)

I am most proud of a couple former athletes who have been lucky enough to represent Team USA at the under 20 world championships.

I would look for someone that is interested in developing you into a multi competitive athlete that has a lot of tools in their box. If a coach needs you to do a job you want to have the right tool to get the job done. This model is what eventually seperates the best of the best and those who have the most tools will go the farthest.

What their biggest strength's and weaknesses are.

What they specifically want to improve on during our time.

What they can do mentally to be at their best during our time together.
