About

I am currently the varsity basketball coach at Valley Lutheran high school in Phoenix Arizona. I'm on the college staff for the girls basketball team at Arizona Christian University. I was a 1st Team All American at Arizona College of the Bible and a member of the 50/40/90 club. I was a certified AIA official. I have been coaching and training for over 30 years and have helped over 75 kids to go on and play in college.

Just making kids better, and teaching the entire game of basketball and not just certain aspects. I LOVE TO TEACH the shot, ball handling, passing, rebounding and especially "D". I want you to become the best all-around player you can be.

Frequently asked questions

I typically start with a 2 for one training session. This allows me to evaluate you and for to make sure you like me. I start with some ball handling and shooting basics and then work up to other fundamentals.

I've had multiple certification over the years. Currently I'm a gold level coach with NFHS, NAIA and USA Basketball.

$55 for a private 1 on 1 lesson in my gym.

$40 for groups of 2 or 3

$30 for groups of 4 to 8

All lessons are in my gym that has AC, a session last approximately 2 hours(1 hour of court time and 1 hour of agility/strength  work.

I started coaching at the Boys and Girls Club in their rec program, then moved to the travel side. From there I started coaching at the club level, started doing camps with the "Suns" and Westfall Brothers. That got me started into basketball training and I've been doing my own camps in private lessons ever since.

I've mostly worked with the junior high and high school athlete, but I've worked with much younger and much older. I have a current student that is four years old and I have a few students that play pro basketball overseas. I am approaching 100 players that have gone on to play at the college level many of which have played D1 basketball.

The state high school basketball tournament this is a great event and I love getting to coach it. So few players get to be involved in a state championship game. My daughter was fortunate enough to win the state championship and I've always told her I would trade by all American award for her state championship in a heartbeat.

Don't be discouraged looking for a teacher, it's got to be a good fit for both. Make sure you take into account gym space, location, and time availability.
