Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1. Assess the skills and goals of each student
2. Make sure the student (and parents) recognize the attitude and commitment necessary to achieve their goals
3. Come up with a plan for the student with the end goal in mind
4. Begin executing that plan
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I played college basketball at Central Michigan University. Although, I don't believe the level of the sport you ascended to doesn't determine your ability to develop a player.
I've been successfully developing basketball players for 17 years.

How did you get started teaching?
Got started training kids in high school. A kid kept interrupting me when I was working out at the park so I eventually told him that if he wanted to continue then he had to workout with me.
What types of students have you worked with?
Kids from 10 years old up to professionals
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Focus less on what the teacher achieved in the sport and more on what their students have achieved as a result of their training. Make sure to try and speak to those students to get the scoop on how good the teacher was for their game.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1. Their goals (why do they want a teacher)
2. Their level of commitment to achieving those goals
3. Their willingness to change old habits
