About
I have over 20 years of firearms tactics experience. I spent six years in the Marine Corps with an infantry unit and sniper platoon, with 2 combat deployments. Four years as a private security contract, two of those years spent doing security for a US government agency, and the other two working for special operations command training Afghan soldiers. I am very knowledgeable and skillful in these areas and would love to pass on my knowledge to like minded people. My goal is to make force multiplier's. I may not be able to be in that movie theater, that night club or that school. But maybe I can give the same set of skills to someone that will be to stop that threat. Whether you're a beginner and would like to know more about guns and safety, or if you'd like to know self-defense and mindset with a handgun please reach out and let's go on the range.

I like to sit down and talk to the student and get a feel for why they're looking to Purchase, own and or carry a firearm before getting on the range. Hammer on safety and the operations of handling a firearm to remove anxiety and fear.

How did you get started teaching?
After I got back from Afghanistan I got a job at a range working as a range safety officer. After a year of that I decided I wanted to get into training and teaching. I thought I had a lot of skills to offer the good citizens. So I became an instructor at the range and after two years moved my way up to the assistant director training. As much as I loved working for that company I decided that I wanted to work for myself with a little more free reign, criteria and teaching styles. I may not be able to be in that movie theater, that night club or that school. But maybe I can give the same set of skills to someone that will be to stop that threat.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've taught students all the way from beginners that have never touched firearm before, all the way to the FBI and other Federal Agencies
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I don't know if I have an actual recent event that I'm fond of, But I can say that I truly enjoy watching the lightbulbs come on as students get more comfortable and confident with their firearms.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would have to see patients, one of the best attributes a teacher can have his patients to work with a new student. Not all students are going to learn the same way, not all students are going to pick up the information the same way. Having the patience to work with the student will go along way in their success. Learning the ins and outs of your firearm along with the fundamentals of shooting takes time and a lot of practice.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why they are looking to purchase, own or carry a firearm. And if they have the right mindset and realization that comes with owning a firearm
