Career Impact Coaching
About
I specialize in teaching math and writing for high school and college students. I have 18 years of college teaching experience, and have worked on scholarship judging projects for two universities. I also also regularly judged high school students in the Academic Decathlon (speech competition) in both the national finals and the statewide competition in Arizona.
Do you have a book in you? I work as a book coach for non-fiction writers. I'll help you get the writing done, create compelling copy and tear down the obstacles that keep you from finishing. Time to get this book finished!
I specialize in writing books on leadership. I have four books in print - two of them are on Amazon, and I love helping others do their best work.
I have a doctorate in management in organizational leadership. My first book was publlished in 2008 for an academic market. Now I write exclusively for business people and leaders in many different careers.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Most of my students have specific objectives that they are trying to achieve, whether it be getting an "A" in math or statistics, getting a promotion at work, getting accepted to a university.
I begin by having a conversation with the learner, and then I confirm the objectives with them. We work with the academic materials. I provide coaching, encouragement and instruction as needed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a college instructor since 2001. I have helped hundreds of students (bachelor's and master's level) build their writing skills in business, management and psychology classes over the years. I have corrected countless papers, and more importantly I have coached young professionals into completing their writing assignments so that they could complete their degree. I have also been an executive coach since 2008.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $65 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
After thirty years working as a business manager for a multi-state business, the University of Phoenix recruited me as an online instructor. From there, I gained practice and skill in professional education. As I started writing my own books in 2008, I have helped others informally and formally in getting their books into print.
What types of students have you worked with?
I specialize in working with non-fiction writers, especially those dealing with business and management topics.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently attended a holiday themed concert at the Music Instrument Museum in north Phoenix. Live music is wonderful!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Anyone can write a book if they are determined to finish it. My clients should identify a strong reason WHY they want to be an author. I can help clients express this idea; however the work of _finishing_ a book becomes easier once the author grasps their WHY to this project. Future authors might want to ask themselves if their book coach has the skills to make the book writing process easier!
