My passion is creating art and unlocking creative potential in my students. Through in depth demonstrations, solid foundational technical information, and a focus on the most pertinent concepts I develop individual lesson plans for each student so they can grow specifically in the direction they want their art to flourish. I am a member of many national artist organizations (Oil painters of America, Portrait Society of America, American Impressionist Society) and have recently won recognition as the Arizona Artist Guild artist of the year, the Portrait Artists of Arizona artist of the year, as well as many best in show wins at a variety of artist showcases.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will begin with a dialog on what type of goals you have as an artist, your biggest inspirations, and the knowledge you already have about your desired medium and artistic principles. From there I will make recommendations on certain starting points for your creative journey and we will decide together not only what is most pertinent to learn but also what will help you to stay engaged and motivated while learning. Then it's off to the races, with in depth materials lists and the scheduling out first set of lessons.
