About

I work one on one. Developed skills for all positions which includes; catcher, pitcher, infield and outfield. To compete in club, high school and college it is important to learn more if not all positions, but to also critic and excel in the position you want to stand out in. Than on to hitting where I develop consistency and power.

I have been coaching for 10+ years in travel and high school. I started coaching the day after I stopped playing. Baseball has been the only real consistency in my life and I plan to keep it that way. I love this sport and believe anyone that wants to succeed in this sport, will!

Frequently asked questions

Assess their current skills and ability.  Learn their current and future goals for baseball.  Find out which positions and skills they want to learn and improve in.  Come up with a personal program that suits them in their positions and their goals.

I started playing baseball when I was 5 years old in pony.  I had private lessons for pitching and hitting.  I played travel ball while growing up in Southern CA.  I continued on into high school, where I played all 4 years on varsity and at the same time played Legion baseball.  After HS I played at Ventura College (JUCO) where I earned a athletic scholarship to Culver-Stockton College (NAIA) where I played one year and then transferred to MWSU.  After I wrapped my career there and graduated college, I began coaching.  I returned to CA where I coached Nordhoff and Oxnard high school and 12u club ball.  Than I moved to AZ and for the last 7 years I have coached 10u to 18u with clubs such as XMen, Firebirds, Crew and most recently Dinger and Swarm.  I currently coach an 18u club team and the frosh team at Barry Goldwater HS.

I started coaching even when I was playing in college.   I love this sport and I am always learning and believe the kids today deserve good coaching and the chance to play as long as possible.

I have worked with all types, ranging from beginners to expert and ages ranging from 6 years old to 20 years old.

I coached the JV team at Deer Valley HS last year.  To start off the year we played Notre Dame Prep., where they beat us 16-3.   We didn't play them again until our very last game of the season and when we did, we beat them 5-3.  The progress we made as a team throughout the season and it all came together and showed when we won that game.

I would tell them to find a teacher that they connect with and they are willing to learn from.  Just because someone has played at a certain level including MLB, doesn't make them a good coach.

They should ask themselves if they truly love this sport.  Are they willing to work hard and what are they willing to do to make it to the next level.
