Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
A typical process is to do an full assessment of the player. Which includes The parent, player and myself sit down to strategize what areas of the players game do we need to focus on. After understanding what the player and parent want to accomplish, I will tailor a program that will be best fitting for the clients goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
First Round draft pick. Played with three great organizations (Angels, White Sox, Red Sox), that are known for developing some of the best MLB players in today’s game. Have a full understanding of these organizations baseball philosophies. Your son or daughter will be getting the same information that these perennial all stars received.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
It all depends on what program I develop for the player. Also, if the client wants to do a thirty minute, one hour or hour and half session. If the clients wants to train multiple days per week. This will be discussed.
How did you get started teaching?
When I went back to college in 2014, I took a part time job as baseball instructor for players between the ages of 5-20. My career was cut short due to injury, I didnt have the information growing up to understand how to take care of my throwing arm properly. So my passion is to educate as many players as I can today, about the proper mechanics, fundamentals, and body care to give my players the best opportunity that I can offer.
What types of students have you worked with?
From Tee Ball, all the way to getting players ready for the MLB Draft, High School Season, or their Division one college program.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Just last week speaking with Curt Schilling about mentality, on how to handle emotions within the diamond. I have a ton of stories that I can’t wait to share.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The best advice I would give is to hire a teacher with multiple years of professional experience. The knowledge at the professional level, is light years ahead of a person who only played in high school or college.
