Hi I’m Ryan Mills, I’m a former first round pick from Arizona St. and I played seven professional seasons with the Minnesota Twins organization. I have extensive experience as a pitching coach and if you would like more info you can visit my website www.pitching.com. I really enjoy working with kids and helping them get the best out of themselves. My father pitched for the Boston Red Sox so I grew up with a love for pitching and that passion is and always will be there.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our first session I always like to sit down and get to know what your goals are and go over your current skill level. I’ll discuss how to use your body most effeciantly and I’ll obviously want to see you throw for a little bit to get a feel for your specific needs. Once we get a feel for what it is that can be improved we will go over a plan for moving forward. I use video as well and as a tool for improvememnt.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve pitched my whole life and my father was a former pitcher for the Boston Red Sox. I pitched at Horizon High School and won our first state championship. I was Arizona Player of the year in 1995. After high school I honored my letter of intent to pitch for Arizona St. My junior season and last year at ASU we went all the way to the national championship game in Omaha, NE. I was selcted sixth overall in the first round by the Minnesota Twins in 1998 and played seven professional seasons. My dad Dick Mills started pitching.com in 1996 and I began working with him after my final season until his passing in March of 2015. I have extensive knowlege of pitching and how to help players get the most out of themselves.
