Working with a new student it’s important to establish rapport and trust.  The first lessons I really like to get to know my student not only as a player but as a person too. We will do an initial assessment on each student highlighting individual strengthes/weaknesses so we can implement a specific plan of attack for each student.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

13 years playing professional baseball

10 years of club baseball

1 year High School Varsity

Certificates: Fundamentals of Coaching, Positive Coaching Alliance

I would advise students to carefully pick a teacher that not only has experience, but most importantly will connect with the student in a positive and productive manner.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What are my goals/expectations for myself?
